How we handle personal information sent through or related to frostbitecompanies.ca.
- 01
Who we are
Frostbite Companies Limited is a company based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through frostbitecompanies.ca (the "Site"). It is written with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in mind.
- 02
What we collect
The Site is a static informational website. We do not require accounts, subscriptions, or sign-ups. The personal information we receive through the Site is the information you choose to send us by email, such as your name, email address, organization, and message. Our hosting provider may also collect standard technical data, such as IP address, request time, browser type, and user agent, to operate and secure the Site.
- 03
How we use it
We use information you send by email to respond to your enquiry, route it to the right service area, manage correspondence, and keep ordinary business records. We do not use that information for marketing unless you have given consent.
- 04
Cookies and tracking
We do not run analytics, marketing pixels, or tracking cookies on this site. Firebase Hosting records standard access logs (IP, timestamp, user-agent, path) for operational purposes only.
- 05
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the business, such as email, hosting, or administrative providers. We may also disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or operations.
- 06
Where your data is processed
The Site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google Cloud), which may process request data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. PIPEDA permits cross-border processing where reasonable safeguards are in place; we rely on Google's contractual and technical measures.
- 07
Retention
We keep correspondence and related records only as long as reasonably needed for business, legal, accounting, or reporting purposes. You may ask us to delete correspondence, and we will respond subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
- 08
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask that it be deleted. You may also withdraw consent for continued use where consent is the basis for that use. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- 09
Children
This site is not directed at people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to legal@frostbitecompanies.ca and we will delete it.
- 10
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on Google's infrastructure, which provides the underlying security controls. The best protection is the one we already practise: we collect as little as possible, so there is little to expose.
